Baby Zoey Had Her Photo Taken Today

Today we took Baby Zoey to the Sears Portrait Studio closest to our home. It was so amazing, at only thirteen days old she had her eyes open for most of the photos. She didn't even fuss or fret too much at being in different poses and states of dress. The act of having her photos taken was just as amazing as the pictures we ended up with.

Baby Zoey's Bellybutton Fell Off (She's 10 Days Old)

One of the firsts of new parents is the moment their baby's bellybutton falls off (or the cord stump to be precise). Today we got to experience that pleasure for ourselves. Though I have to say there is definitely some apprehension when it happens because it looks like it would hurt baby.

Baby Zoey Is Now A Wonderful Part Of Our Life

Baby Zoey Elizabeth was born on June 3rd 2010. She was 9 lbs 3 oz, 22 inches long and is Happy, Healthy, & Whole. As you can see from her picture, she is also just adorable.

Our baby is now due in about a week (due date is June 4th, 2010). I myself am both very excited and nervous at the same time. I look forward to being able to start a new life with my child. Yet, at the same time I'm nervous at what I can do to make Baby's life easier than my own.

I'm so excited that our first baby will be here shortly. We're at 37 weeks which means the baby could come anywhere from the next few days to six weeks from now. We won't know for sure until it happens.
